Ming Chuan Health Monthly-Cervicocranial Syndrome Prevention

What is “cervicocranial syndrome”?
It refers to the corresponding symptoms caused by degeneration of the cervical intervertebral discs and damage to the spinal cord, nerves, and blood vessels caused by degeneration of the intervertebral joints.
The cervical spine bears about 5 kilograms of pressure in the normal posture. When the head moves forward 5 centimeters, the pressure on the cervical spine is more than three times that of the normal posture. If the rotation or swing of the head is added, the pressure on the cervical spine will increase. Because those who are glued to their smartphones or tablets have long periods of screen time, if they are not careful, this may easily lead to poor posture, causing cervical disc herniation, neck joint degeneration or bone spurs, and even serious neurological compression and other disorders.

In addition, if the posture is fixed for too long, muscle cramps may occur due to increased stress on the muscles.
